Kinect Capital Event Showcases Local Women Entrepreneurs

October 10, 2024

Kinect Capital recently held its annual WeROC Women Founders Showcase, where both budding and successful female entrepreneurs pitched their businesses to prospective investors and like-minded community members.

In addition to listening to founder pitches, participants witnessed several engaging panel discussions of successful local entrepreneurs. These movers and shakers imparted expertise and wisdom to those following in their footsteps, such as encouragement to find people who will challenge them to think bigger.

“Entrepreneurship is like gratitude that gives back,” said Kristine Widtfeldt, RevRoad’s chief marketing officer, while moderating the event.

Alongside the various founder pitches, which showcased products ranging from cancer treatment medicines to AI advertising agents and custom dog clothing, those in attendance were also able to hear from Dr. Astrid S. Tuminez, UVU’s esteemed president, whose words highlighted the strength and resilience of women in business.

For those who missed the showcase, Kinect Capital is planning on holding Investors Choice — WeROCS’s sister event — in the spring of next year. Until then, various networking and pitch opportunities happen around the state, such as weekly gatherings at 1 Million Cups and Third Thursdays @ Three.
